My dad very kindly helped me knock up a press for bookbinding. I recently got pipped to the post on an Ebay auction for a vintage press, so we thought that I could try making one. We used off-cuts from a new kitchen counter top and G-clamps round the edges. There may be possible improvements, but it seemed to do the job for now.
